An Auctioneers note, from North Central Sales Auctions “It’s Time to Shine in 2009” is the theme for the Langlade county fair. Once again we approach our  famous market animal auction to support the 4-H and FFA youth of Langlade county.
    Duke & Kathy Packard the auctioneers for the event would like to invite all the great  businesses and residences of our area to this fun filled event. Yes anyone can bid and anyone can buy! From the top notch steer, lamb or pig. There are many choices with some prices souring high to some very competitive to our local grocery store. If you’re a business buying, this maybe tax deductible? Maybe a bonus for some well deserved employees? A company picnic? What a great way to advertise!! As a resident what better way to fill your freezer? Split it with your neighbor? Donate it to a food pantry? You can also bid and buy your choice of a steer or lamb to take it home with you. Unfortunately all swine must go to the processing plant. These kids work hard on there projects for instance they will have 210 days of feed and handling on a steer. With 87 days on a lamb and pig. Not to mention what the animals original cost was. Now add that up too not only the work but the feed bill. What an education for these kids.  Don’t want to be a active bidder just come and enjoy all the fun. We as a community all need to come together to support these kids. So now its your time to shine in 2009 ! COME TO THE FAIR!
The market Animal sale / auction will be held Friday July 31 2009 at 6:30 P.M in the cattle barn show ring.
